"Wave Length" (48 x 48") explores resonance—what it means to be on the same wavelength, to find frequency that connects, to recognize the patterns that allow understanding across distance and difference.
Working with oil on canvas, I built up swirling passages of deep forest green, coral, pink, and blue that surge through darker depths. The painting suggests multiple wave forms simultaneously: ocean waves rolling through dark water, sound waves vibrating through space, light waves carrying information, even brain waves in sync. The title's double meaning is intentional—wavelength as both physical phenomenon and metaphor for connection.
The sweeping curved forms create rhythm and movement, pulling the eye through the composition in wavelike undulations. This is a painting about pattern recognition, about how we find each other across the noise, about the frequencies that allow communication and understanding. Darker passages suggest the depths we move through, while brighter curves catch light like crests of waves or peaks of oscillation.
This is connection made visible—the moment when separate frequencies align and understanding becomes possible.
Professional-grade oil on canvas. Edges painted, ready to hang. Signed on back. Certificate included.
