Light Reflections Turning the World Yellow
2022
Oil painting sun light on the surface of water rendering a yellow glow
Size in inches: 20 x 20"
"Light Reflections Turning the World Yellow" (20 x 20") captures that transformative moment when sunlight hits water at just the right angle, rendering everything in golden luminosity. The world becomes monochromatic, saturated in yellow warmth.
Working with oil paint, I built up a shimmering surface of dappled marks that evoke light dancing on water. The painting hovers between abstraction and impression—you sense water, light, reflection, but the marks themselves become the subject. Touches of lmagenta and blue-green peek through the dominant yellows, suggesting shadows beneath the surface or coolness lurking at the edges of this golden moment.
This is an intimate study of a specific quality of light—not morning, not evening, but that particular midday illumination when sun and water conspire to turn the world a single radiant color. The small 20 x 20" format invites close viewing, asking you to immerse yourself in this shimmer, to remember your own moments of being surrounded by light made visible on water.
Professional-grade oil on canvas. Edges painted, ready to hang. Signed on back. Certificate included.
