Fire and Bloom

$6,050.00

"Fire and Bloom" (48 x 60") explores the paradox at the heart of natural cycles—how destruction and creation exist not as opposites but as partners in transformation. This large-scale painting holds both fire's consuming energy and the tender emergence of new growth.

Working with oil layered over acrylic underpainting allows me to build complexity through transparent glazes and bold gestures. Intense crimsons and corals suggest flames moving through a garden, while fresh greens and delicate botanical forms persist and even thrive within the heat. The vertical format emphasizes upward movement—both the rise of flames and the reach of growing things toward light.

I'm fascinated by ecosystems that require fire to regenerate, where seeming devastation becomes the condition for renewal. This painting embodies that tension and ultimate harmony between forces we often see as contradictory.

My hope is that viewers will recognize their own experiences of transformation—those moments when what feels like ending is actually beginning, when fire clears space for unexpected blooming.

Professional-grade oil paint on gallery-wrapped canvas. Edges painted, ready to hang. Signed on back. Certificate of authenticity included.
